Walmer Castle

Originally a Tudor Fortress, Walmer Castle has evolved into a homely residence for many well-known names from the Duke of Wellington to the Queen Mother. Inside you can explore Wellington’s career, the story of his life and death and even see the original Wellington Boots.

Betteshanger Park

There are a huge range of activities available at Betteshanger to suit all interests and pursuits. Some of the activities are available every day, such as cycling, whilst others need to booked in advance or only take place on special event days.

Wingham Wildlife Park

Wingham Wildlife Park first opened its doors as Wingham Bird Park in 1986, changing its name to Wingham Wildlife Park approximately 15 years later. The park is now so much more than birds, since it was given a new lease of life, when it was taken over by new owners on Valentines day 2008.

Deal Castle

For a fascinating day out on the Kent coast look no further than Deal Castle. Built by the order of King Henry VIII it is one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England, and among the earliest and most elaborate of a chain of coastal forts, which also includes Calshot, Camber, Walmer and Pendennis Castles.

Howletts Wild Animal Park

White Cliffs Country

The Royal St. George's Golf Club

An 18 hole Championship Links golf course, regarded by many as one of the finest in the world. The Club also has excellent practice facilities, including a driving range, putting green, chipping green and pitching greens.

Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club
