astor outside

It’s 1969 and a woman looks back on her life in London. From the Boer War to The Summer of Love, Flo Smith – daughter, sister, wife, mother, widow and grandmother – recalls with horror, humour, tears and joy those turbulent times at home and in the world beyond her front door.

“Very good. Very moving. This turned out to be a lesson in resilience. It should be viewed by the pampered youngsters of today because they really don’t realise how lucky they are. In fact, it made me realise how lucky we all are – things seemed so hard back then. And yet people just got on with it without making a fuss. Great performer – audience members stood for her at the end!” Chrissie Vaughan The Audience Club.

Sunday 19th September Doors 4.30pm & Show Starts 5.00pm.

Book on line.

Government Update

Dear Guest

As you may be aware the government has introduced new rules and regulations. This means we now require guests to wear a mask upon entering the building and to wear around the communal areas; if you have a seat at the bar you can at that point remove the mask until you leave the table. Please note the bar is strictly table service so please do not approach the bar to order drinks.

We have disposable face masks at reception should you need one, please just ask.

We will now be closing at 22:00 instead of 23:00 so we are in line with the new instructed close time.

This will all be effective as of the 23rd September (Thursday).

Kind regards, The Clarendon Hotel Management
